Finally the untethered jailbreak has been released for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3gS, and iPod Touch 3G. This a complete untethered jailbreak method and can be applied by two methods.
Method 1:
If device is already jailbroken tethered on 5.0.1:
- Open Cydia
- Search for Corona untether
- Respring
- Done!
Method 2
If your device is not already jailbroken or needs a fresh restore try redsn0w 0.9.10 b2:
Download:
redsn0w 0.9.10b4 for Windows (be sure to run in Administrator mode)
Steps:
- Plug in your device.
- Open redsn0w.
- Click jailbreak.
- Turn off your device and click next when ready.
- Follow the instructions to put the device in DFU mode
- Make sure install cydia is checked.
- Wait for redsn0w to run
- Done!
Untethered jailbreak is great and many users can not wait to jailbreak iPhone 4s and iPad 2!
Make sure to run redsn0w in windows xp compatibility mode and also run as administrator if ur using a windows 7 computer
cannot find a way to download cydia on my computer. I bought the phone jailbroken and need to reboot using cydia but do not have the software.
